Does anyone have the recipe for banana cake from the Edmond's cookbook '; sure to rise';?

Banana Cake by Edmond's Cookery





4 ozs. butter


6 ozs. sugar


2 eggs


2 mashed bananas plus 1 for luck


1 level teaspoon soda


2 tablespoons boiling milk


1 teaspoon Edmonds baking powder


8 ozs. flour





Cream the butter and sugar, add the eggs, and the mashed bananas. Then the add the soda dissolved in boiling milk, gently stir the mixture.





Lastly add the flour %26amp; baking powder, previously mixed and sieved for lumps.





Cake is be cooked in 2 greased cake pans, which gives a nice light fluffy cake.





Bake for 20-30 minutes at 350F / 180C testing from about 20 minutes onward to see if they are cooked in the center.





Edmond's suggest filling with whipped cream and sliced banana when cakes are cooled to finish.
