Recipe for a white cake?

I'm looking for a recipe for a white cake that's moist. The white cake recipe i've used in the past seems to turn out sort of dry no matter what I try. I don't want to use a cake mix...I prefer to make my own. Anyone have any recipes or know anything I can try to make it more moist?Recipe for a white cake?
This cake recipe is very moist to say the least and so good. it can be made as a white cake or a chocolate cake. I will write it as a chocolate cake, but to make your white cake..leave out the cocoa. I think this is one of the BEST cakes that I have ever ate.

SHEET CAKE

Mix in a bowl

2 cups sugar

2 cups flour

In a pan, bring to a boil

1 stick butter

3 1/2 tablespoons cocoa....leave out for white cake

1 cup water

1/2 cups shortening

Then add all sugar and flour

Add 2 eggs

1/2 cup buttermilk

1 teaspoon baking soda

1 teaspoon vanilla

In a SHEET CAKE PAN that has been greased and dusted pour this ';thin'; batter in and bake at 400 for 20 minutes.

After it is done and cooled, you can frost your cake.

If at all possible, keep the cake in the ice box until you serve it as it taste better COLD. It is so moist.

ICING FOR SHEET CAKE

In a pan, bring to a boil

1 stick butter

3 1/2 tablespoons cocoa...leave out if you want white icing

1/3 cup milk

then add 1 teaspoon vanilla

start adding powder sugar and mixing until you get the icing the thickness that you want and then spread on your cooled cake.

Enjoy this cake. It is so good that you will not be able to stop eating it with the first piece.Recipe for a white cake?

I believe the first one is moist because of the butter. It looks delicious!
