Does anyone know the recipe for a boiled fruit cake?

My grandmother used to make a boiled fruit cake. She used to soak the fruit over night in tea, then put all the ingredients in a big pan on the hob.


When it was all mixed she transfered it to a cake tin and put it in the oven. Has anyone ever heard of this way of making a fruit cake? Does anyone know the exact ingredients and method?Does anyone know the recipe for a boiled fruit cake?
Yes and it's lovely. I use it for my xmas cake every year. Google for the old Bero Cook Book. It's in there made with water, but just substitute with tea.
