Spanish continental cake. Does anyone know a recipe for this?

It has a layer of fruit with custard or vanilla and a layer of chocolate. It has alcohol in it as well.

CONTINENTAL TORTE





Mix right in pan you bake it in. When I make this I make 2 tortes because the filling is enough for 2. I can't say how much you will enjoy this but I have made it more than anything else. 2/3 c. milk 2/3 c. sugar 1 1/3 c. Wondra 2 tsp. baking powder 1/2 tsp. salt 2 eggs 1 tsp. vanilla 1/4 c. sliced toasted almonds plus 1 tbsp. sugar


Grease heavily and flour bottom of 8 inch square or 9 inch round pan. Melt shortening in prepared pan. Remove from oven. Add milk, sugar, flour, baking powder, salt, eggs, and vanilla. Beat with fork until smooth and creamy, about 2 minutes. Sprinkle almonds and sugar on top. Bake at 350 degrees for 30-35 minutes. Cool 20 minutes. Remove from pan. Cool completely. Split in half and fill with the filling below.








CHERRY CHEESECAKE FILLING:





1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese


1 (15 oz.) can sweetened condensed milk


1/3 c. lemon juice


1 can cherry pie filling





Cream softened cream cheese until light. Add condensed milk; beat well. Blend in lemon juice. Chill while cake cools. Spread on bottom layer of torte; then top with some cherry pie filling. Place top of torte layer on cherries. Put a spoonful of filling right on top of cake and a few cherries in the middle.Spanish continental cake. Does anyone know a recipe for this?

Spanish Almond Cake Laced with Tequila Anejo





Recipe:-

--Cake--





1 cup + 2 Tbsp almonds; lightly . roasted





1 cup flour, all-purpose





1 1/4 tsp. baking powder





1/4 tsp. Salt





1/2 lb butter, unsalted





1 cup Sugar





4 Eggs





1/4 tsp. Pure almond extract





3 tbsp. Tequila anejo





2 tsp. Orange zest





1 tsp. Lemon Zest





1/4 tsp. Nutmeg; grated





Garnish-





Powdered sugar;





Freshly grated nutmeg





Sliced mangoes

---MEXICAN WHIPPING CREAM---





1/2 part Heavy Cream





3 tbsp. Powdered sugar;





1/4 tsp. vanilla extract





1 tbsp. Tequila anejo








1. Note: Place nuts on baking sheet in 325-degree preheated oven and toast until light brown, turning occasionally.


2. When done, remove from pan to prevent overcooking.


3. Finely grind all almonds.


4. Set 2 tablespoons ground nuts aside.


5. Mix remaining nuts with flour, baking powder and salt and set aside.


6. Cream butter and sugar with an electric mixer.


7. Add eggs, one at a time, mixing well, blend in the almond extract, tequila, citrus zests and 1/4 teaspoon grated nutmeg.


8. Mix in almond/flour mixture untll incorporated.


9. Spread batter into a 9 1/2-inch-by-2-inch pan (or a springform pan) that has been buttered and dusted with flour.


10. Sprinkle with remainlng ground almonds.


11. Place in preheated 325-degree oven on the middle rack and bake until tester comes out clean (about 40-45 minutes).


12. Cool 10 minutes; remove from pan by inverting on a platter.


13. Sprinkle with confectioners' sugar and freshly grated nutmeg; garnish.


14. Serve with a tasty coffee drink or eggnog.


15. Nutritional analysis per serving: 420 calories, 28 grams fat, 34 grams carbohydrates, 135 milligrams cholesterol, 189 milligrams sodium, 61 percent of calories from fat. Mexican whipped cream: In chilled stainless-steel mixing bowl with chilled beaters, whip cream until it thickens slightly.


16. Slowly add powdered sugar, vanilla and tequila and beat until it forms stiff mounds.
