What is a easy recipe for angel food cake?

I was looking at some recipes online and they all call for 12 eggs, there is only me and my husband, so i don't want to make a huge cake with just us 2. Does anyone have or know where i can find a simple angel food cake recipe? thanks!What is a easy recipe for angel food cake?

Homemade Angel Food Cake Recipe





1 cup


1 1/2 cups


1/4 tsp


1 1/4 cups


1 1/4 tsp


1 tsp Sifted Cake Flour


White Sugar


Salt


Egg Whites


Cream of Tartar


Vanilla extract


Do not preheat oven!


Sift flour once, add salt, add 1/2 cup of sugar, sift 4 times. Set aside.


Beat egg whites, when foamy add cream of tartar,


continue beating until egg white are stiff enough to hold


in peaks, ( but not dry ).


Add remaining sugar, 2 Tablespoons at a time until sugar is just blended.


Fold in vanilla. Sift about 1/4 cup flour mix over the mixture and fold in lightly, repeat until all is used.


Turn into ungreased pan, cut gently through batter with knife to remove any bubbles from batter.


Place cake in cold oven.


Oven Temp ~ 350掳 Cake Baking Time ~ 1 Hour


Pan Type ~ 10 inch tube pan


Bake at suggested temperature and time.


Remove from oven and invert until cake is completely cooled.


Remove from pan and decorate as desired.





Cut in half and freeze.
I think it's much cheaper and easier to just buy already made angel food cake. It's usually in the bakery section of the grocery store.
