Does anyone have a recipe for a fluffy cake frosting using egg whites?

I tried beating the egg white %26amp; adding sugar %26amp; vanilla but it wasnt quite right (not bad though) ...... whats the secret?Does anyone have a recipe for a fluffy cake frosting using egg whites?
1/2 c sugar, 1/4 c light corn syrup, 2T. water, 2 egg whites, 1t. vanilla.


Mix sugar, syrup %26amp; water in pot. Cover, heat to rolling boil over med. heat. Uncover, boil rapidly until it forms a ball in cold water. As it is boiling, beat egg whites until stiff in another bowl. Pour hot syrup very slowly in thin stream into egg whites beating constatnly on Med. speed, add vanilla, beat on High until stiff peaks form.Does anyone have a recipe for a fluffy cake frosting using egg whites?
try googling italian meringue buttercream. It's slightly complicated- you make up a meringue (eqq whites and sugar syrup) then add in butter. You'll need a standing mixer and a thermometer as the temperature must be exactly right before you add the butter or else it will split the whole thing (trust me, I messed it up TWICE).
